AMG:
"The second of two premier releases from Label M and the archives of The Left Bank Jazz Society of Baltimore, MD (along with My Foolish Heart from Stan Getz). One of Sonny Stitt's many performances for The Left Bank was recorded in March 1971 and is the source of this set. Stitt's electric saxophone, of course, is the main attraction. And while the treatment of the instrument scuttles some of its tone, with Stitt at the mouthpiece (he was the first to record the instrument, back in 1966), the electric tenor sax is more than just a novelty. The traditional "John Brown's Body" proves to be the set's highlight."
